Caller ID
- How Caller ID Works: With Caller ID, you will always know who is calling before you pick up the phone. And, you'll always know who called while you were away, even if they didn't leave a message.
- How To Use: - When you receive a call, wait until your telephone completes the first ringing signal.
- Notes: - If a letter "P" or "Private" appears on your display after the first ring, the caller may have blocked the display of their name and number by pressing *67 before placing the call.
Caller ID allows you to identify most callers by seeing their name and telephone number as your phone rings. This way, you can decide whether to answer the phone or not. Caller ID also lets you ignore annoying calls and store names and numbers of people who have called. The purchase of an add-on display or display telephone is necessary.
- The telephone number calling you and the name associated with that number in the telephone company records will automatically appear on your display screen.
- If "unknown name," "unknown number," "out of area," "unavailable" or "0" appears, the caller is in an area that does not support Caller ID services.
